Privacy Policy

The Short Version

barcelona-rent.fyi is a free tool. We don't sell your data, we don't have accounts, we don't collect payment information, and we don't send email. The rent data we display comes from public sources (Generalitat de Catalunya / INCASOL).

What We Collect

Rent Comparisons and Budget Searches

When you use the rent calculator or the budget finder, we save what you entered — rent amount, apartment size, neighborhood or budget — so we can show community averages. That is all we save. No name, no email, no address, no IP address, no browser fingerprint, and no identifier that could be traced back to you or joined up across visits. These submissions really are anonymous: we could not tell you which ones were yours even if you asked.

Basic Analytics

We collect basic usage data (pages visited, browser type, country) to understand how people use the site. This runs through Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, and a lightweight visitor counter served from cdn.visitors.now. Each of those is a third party with its own privacy policy, listed below.

What We Don't Collect

• No accounts or passwords
• No credit card or payment information
• No personal addresses
• No tracking across other websites

Data Sources

All rent price data comes from publicly available sources, primarily INCASOL (Institut Català del Sòl) via the Generalitat de Catalunya. We simply make this public data easier to explore and compare.

Third-Party Services

We use Supabase for the database, Vercel for hosting and for its Analytics and Speed Insights products, Google Analytics for audience measurement, and a visitor counter served from cdn.visitors.now. Each has its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers, and we run no advertising on this site.

Your Rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for you to request, correct or have deleted. We don't run a newsletter, we hold nobody's email address, and we have no way to contact you — by design. The analytics services listed above collect their own usage data under their own policies, and each offers its own opt-out.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. We'll keep it simple.
